Situation Overview
Ethiopia's forests are disappearing. Our soil erodes. Our climate changes, bringing drought and flood in deadly cycles. The communities we serve—the poorest of the poor—suffer first and worst from environmental degradation. Babul Keyer USA has joined the national Green Legacy initiative, but we must act NOW before it's too late. We have secured land in Olonkome, West Shoa, for sustainable agriculture and reforestation. We have volunteers ready to plant. But we need emergency funding for seedlings, water systems, and community training. This is not just about trees—it's about food security, climate resilience, and the future our children will inherit. Every day we delay, the crisis deepens.
