Humanitarian Relief for Food Insecurity & Displacement – Ethiopia

The Emergency Humanitarian Relief Response is an urgent intervention launched by Babul Keyer USA to assist communities across Ethiopia facing escalating food insecurity, displacement, and vulnerability due to conflict, climate shocks, and economic hardship.

Ethiopia continues to experience deepening humanitarian needs as millions struggle with limited access to food, clean water, healthcare, and shelter. Multiple crises—rising conflict tensions in northern regions, drought conditions in eastern lowlands, and cuts to aid programs—have dramatically increased the number of families under threat of hunger and displacement. Millions of people are at risk of malnutrition and related health issues, especially children and breastfeeding women, with food access declining in several regions.

This emergency initiative aims to deliver lifesaving assistance directly to vulnerable households by providing food, water, hygiene supplies, and protection services. The response prioritizes displaced persons, children, women, the elderly, and other high-risk groups to prevent further deterioration of living conditions.
